To our Prison Ministry volunteers:
Thank you for all your hard work!
Tom served our country for 24 years in the Air Force enlisting in 1960 and receiving a commission in 1974. He has been preaching both full and part-time since 1963. From 1984 until 1997 he worked with the Union Hill congregation as their minister and worked for the State of Florida as an Elderly Abuse Investigator until health problems caused him to stop.
Katy, his wife, is a lifetime member of the congregation and is the daughter of Lorene Owen, a charter member. She has previously acted as the church secretary, Sunday School and Bus Ministry Teacher.
Katy worked as a Secretary for 20 years in several hospitals and with the State of Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS).
They have 1 son, 2 daughters and 2 grand-daughters. Tom enjoys woodworking in his spare time and Katy loves to sew.
*Congratulations to Tom for being awarded "2009 Volunteer of the Year" from the Okaloosa Correctional Institute!*

- Bible Correspondence Courses are provided to inmates free of charge and a self-addressed pre-paid envelope is provided with each lesson to enable the inmate to return lessons for grading. At the completion of each course and completion certificate is provided to the student. Several courses are designed specifically for inmates and other provide both subjective and book studies.
