Reflections On Our Life in Jesus Christ

Today’s Bible Reading (from Biblegateway.com): Psalm 13-15; Acts 19:21-41
Wednesday’s: Psalm 16-17; Acts 20:1-16

Richard Dawkins, the well-known atheist who wrote The God Delusion, says the onus of proof is on Christians to show the claims of our faith are true. But that’s unreasonable because the one denying evidence carries the weight of disproving what’s known to be true. The Holocaust, for example, is something most people believe because of the historical evidence, yet some deny it occurred. The burden of proof remains on those who take issue with documented history, and the same is true with Christ, the Resurrection, and Christianity. People who believe as Dawkins are the ones shouldering the onus of proof because they are going against a plethora of facts to make their case.[1]
