Reflections On Our Life in Jesus Christ

Today’s Bible Reading (from Biblegateway.com): Psalm 18-19; Acts 20:17-38
Friday’s: Psalm 20-22; Acts 21:1-17             Saturday’s: Psalm 23-25; Acts 21:18-40
Sunday’s: Psalm 26-28; Acts 22                    Monday’s: Psalm 29-30; Acts 23:1-15

The late Zig Ziglar used to tell of a man who went to his neighbor asking if he could borrow his lawnmower. The man explained he couldn’t lend out his mower because all of the flights from New York to Los Angeles had been cancelled. The bewildered neighbor asked what cancelled airline flights had to do with him borrowing a mower. The resistant next-door resident explained, “It doesn’t have anything to do with it. But if I don’t want to let you use my lawnmower, one excuse is as good as another.”[1]

Some of us resist God in similar fashion.
