In 2017, a lawmaker from Nebraska recommended that their state flag be redesigned because nobody noticed it flying upside down for ten days. State Senator Burke Harr expressed concern over the fact that it was flying outside the State Capital while the legislators were in session, yet it didn’t garner any attention.
After seeing the flag, it’s easy to see how it could go undetected, but more importantly, do our lives mirror the same kind of results? It won’t go unnoticed when people love God with all their heart, soul and mind, and then love their neighbor as themselves.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35, NASB).
