Reflections On Our Life in Jesus Christ

Today’s Bible Reading (from Biblegateway.com): 2 Kings 22-23; John 4:31-54
Friday’s: 2 Kings 24-25; John 5:1-24            Saturday’s: 1 Chronicles 1-3; John 5:25-47
Sunday’s: 1 Chronicles 4-6; John 6:1-21       Monday’s: 1 Chronicles 7-9; John 6:22-44

My world couldn’t be much more perplexing than it is currently.  I have a chicken that thinks she’s a dog – she keeps attempting to come into the house with the mutts – I have two dogs that think they’re human – that one’s on Halley and me – but mostly on Halley😊.  COVID-19 has changed just about everything within our daily grind and now I’m care-giving to the wife while she recuperates from her surgery.  I literally have to stop and contemplate several times a day to remember what day of the week it is.  Yes, I know, many of these situations, too, shall pass.  I may need to find a poultry and canine psychologist for the animals, but the coronavirus danger will decline, and Halley is improving daily, thank God.  Come to think of it, I may need a psychiatrist to help me work through my day-of-the-week mental block.  But it is such a comfort to know that there is one unchanging and unchangeable part of my existence, the Lord, Jesus Christ!  While all else changes, deviates, is transformed, or deteriorates, Jesus Christ is “the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8, ESV).  For that, I am eternally grateful!
