Reflections On Our Life in Jesus Christ

Today’s Bible Reading (from Deuteronomy 32-34; Mark 15:26-47
Wednesday’s: Joshua 1-3; Mark 16

James Kelly is serving a 10-year prison sentence in Florida for identity theft, but he’s suing Verizon because he says it’s their fault. The 52-year-old convict with a rap sheet dating back to 1985, filed a lawsuit in December 2016 for $72 million because the Verizon sales representative was negligent in not realizing he was a crook. Kelly used his own name to steal the identity of another James Kelly and he claims Verizon personnel should have figured out he was not the James Kelly he was pretending to be. He says their mistake has cost him the “loss of civil liberties and freedom.”[1]

Although we might not do anything that extreme, we’re all equally capable of shirking responsibility and trying to pin the blame on others.
