Reflections On Our Life in Jesus Christ
Today’s Bible Reading (from Biblegateway.com): 2 Chronicles 1-3; John 10:1-23
Wednesday’s: 2 Chronicles 4-6; John 10:24-42
Amazon is known primarily for their enormous online presence that sells almost anything. On February 28th, 2017, people realized there’s another side to Amazon. The Amazon Web Services, a giant provider of backend services for 150,000 web sites, went down for four hours that day and it crippled web sites all across America. Amazon has about 42% of the cloud storage market, which means they hold trillions of files for others. During that final day of February, one person entered just one incorrect command and the whole system went south.
People commonly think only one way for salvation is ridiculously restrictive, but Amazon offers a great current example of how the path to success is incredibly restrictive – maybe even “narrow.”
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14, NIV).
