Roy Barnhill

Roy and Carlene were married in 1975. Roy has 3 children from his first marriage (his first wife passed away at age 30), 2 children with Carlene, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Roy worked at Eglin AFB for 43 years and is now retired after working 2 other jobs. He has been an Elder since 1993 and has previously served as a Deacon.

Roy enjoys fishing, hunting, and piddling around the house doing various jobs. He’s also a University of Florida sports fan.

Carlene was a homemaker until 1998 and served as our church secretary until 2020.

 

Mark Dillman

Mark Dillman has been with our congregation since April 2010.  Mark began preaching at the age of 40 after a career in business management.  He has preached for a combined 25+ years in Fort Morgan, Colorado, Winona, Mississippi, and Crestview, Florida.  Mark received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master of Science degree in Biblical and Related Studies from Abilene Christian University.  Mark has additional studies at Covington Theological Seminary in Bible and Mississippi College in education.

He and his wife, Halley, have 2 children, Sarah and James, and 4 grandchildren. Mark enjoys playing golf and takes his vocation seriously by encouraging the congregation to spiritual growth and spread the the sharing of the gospel.

 

David Johnson

David and Jeanne have been married since 1995. They have both been involved in multiple congregations, serving around the world in the Air Force. David retired after 26 years and now works as an Anesthesia Technician, and Jeanne as a Programs Manager with the Air Force. David has served as a Deacon for 20 years with Jeanne by his side. They have worked in children’s ministries all the way up to serving our senior members. David and Jeanne have two sons, three grandsons, and one Golden Retriever child.

 

 

 

 

Cliff Owen

Cliff is  a Crestview native.  He was born here in 1965 and grew up in the Airport Road congregation.  He even helped with construction of the building as a young boy.

He was baptized at a youth rally in Pensacola and graduated from Crestview High School.  He worked for Okaloosa County Water and Sewer for 36 years.  He and Susan were married in 2000.

Prior to becoming an Elder, Cliff served Airport Road as the Deacon overseeing the Building & Grounds, Worship, and Contribution ministries.

 

 

Frank Sauls

Frank was born in Melbourne, Florida and grew up in Fernandina Beach (Amelia Island).  He and his family moved to Florala, AL where he attended High School.

After graduation from Junior College he went into the military as a radiology technologist, he later earned his MHA from Chapman University and retired from the Army in 1993.  He is employed at the Trauma Center at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. He enjoys traveling and is a long time Alabama fan, his favorite hobby is working on his sleight of hand tricks for entertainment purposes.

He has served as deacon of benevolence and then later served in the Young Married Ministries at a previous congregation (Lakeview COC) in Tacoma, WA.  He served as deacon over education for several years at Airport Road Church of Christ before being installed as an Elder.  To date he has made two missionary trips to Panama.  These trips have encouraged him to sharpen his Spanish, as well as learning how to make balloon animals to help entertain the children when they visit the children’s cancer ward on those trips.

Frank and Anne have been married since 1973 and have three grown children and three grandchildren.   Anne is involved with SIS and the card ministry; she also leads a ladies bible class on Wednesday nights and is a former bookkeeper.  Although empty nesters, they still enjoy the patter of little feet within their home from their five fur babies, four Papillons and a Chihuahua.
