Reflections On Our Life in Jesus Christ

Today’s Bible Reading (from Biblegateway.com): Job 1-2; Acts 7:22-43

Bob Goff was asked about some parenting advice while speaking at a conference. He responded with the story of a unique gift he gave his daughter before she was born. Goff explained how he wrote a letter telling her that he forgave her for crashing the car. He put the letter in a jar and buried it. Seventeen years later when she did smash up the car, he gave her a shovel and the coordinates to dig up the letter. When she found the buried note, she discovered that she’d been forgiven before she was even born.[1]

Christ did virtually the same thing by sacrificing His life two millennia before any of us were born, and then secured the message of forgiveness in the pages of His Word for each of us to read.
